Overview

We are hiring a motivated junior software developer for a fully remote role based in Colombia. This is a full-time position within the Technology & IT / Software Development space. The successful candidate will help build, test, maintain, and support software products while working closely with a collaborative engineering team.

Compensation is set at $2,150 USD per month. The work schedule follows standard business hours, and the expected start is as soon as possible. Applicants should submit their CV in English.

Key responsibilities

Build, test, and maintain software applications and related system components.
Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code in line with internal development standards.
Take part in the full software development lifecycle from planning through delivery.
Investigate, diagnose, and fix software issues and defects.
Support existing products with improvements, bug fixes, and maintenance tasks.
Assist with software releases and deployment-related activities.
Record technical details, software components, and development procedures clearly.
Follow coding conventions, quality assurance practices, and security requirements.
Participate in code reviews and process improvement efforts.
Collaborate with software engineers, QA analysts, and technical leads.
Join Agile ceremonies, planning meetings, and technical discussions.
Keep learning new tools and technologies while contributing ideas to improve workflows.

Required profile

At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
Hands-on exposure to frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering best practices.
Experience working with relational databases and APIs.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Capability to work independently and also collaborate effectively in a remote team.
Intermediate to advanced English level (B2+) for professional written and spoken collaboration.

Preferred background

Experience with technologies such as Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, .NET, React, Angular, Node.js, or similar stacks.
Exposure to Agile or Scrum ways of working.
Prior experience with cloud platforms or DevOps practices is an advantage.
Understanding of secure software development principles.
