Lead Catering Assistant

Role Overview

As a Lead Catering Assistant, you will play an essential part within a lively and fast-moving catering team. Your main focus will be to promote exceptional service standards, while providing day-to-day leadership and support to colleagues. This position fosters a friendly atmosphere and expects you to set a consistent example in best practices. The role is full-time, involving 37.5 hours weekly from Monday to Thursday.

Key Duties

• Set an example in preparing appetizing, premium-quality food that delights clients and guests.
• Assist in supervising the catering team daily to maintain consistent standards.
• Design attractive food and counter displays that elevate the customer’s experience.
• Contribute to onboarding, training, and coaching of team members.
• Represent the company positively, aligning with the brand’s image.
• Oversee smooth service operations including handling transactions and ensuring efficient till system use.
• Maintain superior Food Handling and Hygiene practices throughout operations.
• Manage stock control, deliveries, and minimize wastage effectively.
• Promote a safe and healthy workplace by following all Health & Safety guidelines.
• Coordinate closely with the Catering Manager and act on their behalf when necessary.
