Role Overview

The Learning Content Developer will be a key member of the Learning team, responsible for crafting educational content that supports customer onboarding and mastery of the Hornbill ESM platform. This position suits individuals who exhibit proactive learning, creativity in instructional design, and technical proficiency in multimedia content creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce eLearning courses and instructional videos using software tools including Camtasia, Audiate, Genially, Canva, and internal LMS solutions.
• Create engaging materials for live training sessions, such as presentations, handouts, exercises, and assessments.
• Develop concise guides, brief videos, and visual aids to enhance self-directed learning.
• Transform complex technical features into straightforward, understandable explanations for users.
• Maintain and update existing learning content ensuring accuracy and alignment with current platform functionalities.
• Apply principles of clear, accessible, and consistent design throughout all educational materials.
• Help shape the educational style, tone, and quality of content within Hornbill Academy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in instructional design, technical content development, or video-based training creation.
• Proficiency with video editing and screen-capturing tools such as Camtasia and Adobe Premiere, capable of producing clear, stepwise tutorials.
• Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English, capable of simplifying technical information effectively.
• Ability to comprehend technical product details, workflows, and configurations and convert them into structured educational content.
• Familiarity with digital authoring platforms like Rise, Genially, Camtasia, and Canva.
• Strong visual communication skills, including an eye for organized layouts, easy-to-read typography, and consistent style.
• Quick adaptability to learning new platform features autonomously.
• Dependable and proactive work ethic, skilled in task management, receptive to feedback, and collaborative with Product and Customer Education teams.

Preferred Experience

• Portfolio showcasing eLearning modules or instructional video projects.
• Previous exposure to environments focusing on SaaS, Enterprise Service Management (ESM), IT Service Management (ITSM), or technical products.
