Role Overview

As a Machine Operator based in Nairobi, Kenya, your primary responsibility is to support company expansion by achieving daily production targets aligned with corporate and regional strategies. You will maintain optimal product conditions, adhere to production guidelines, and uphold health and safety standards within the production facility.

Primary Duties

• Execute production tasks by following defined operating procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate routine updates, observations, and any issues effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and company policies.
• Complete required safety trainings and actively participate in safety programs.
• Perform last-minute risk assessments before commencing work by identifying and documenting potential hazards.
• Ensure all products and processes comply with the company’s quality and food safety standards.
• Provide operational assistance and other duties when assigned by the Operations Director.

• Ensure compliance with HSE legal requirements and follow Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safety.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic working environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Respect company hygiene rules and food safety agreements.
• Conduct safety training on time and perform last-minute risk assessments to evaluate and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Apply food safety guidelines and maintain quality and safety compliance strictly.
• Support start-up, changeovers, and monitor your assigned work area while escalating technical concerns through the proper channels.
• Assist technicians during interventions and ensure smooth handover to subsequent shifts.
• Adhere to cost controls and productivity standards in your area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of High School Certificate (KCSE) is mandatory.
• Ability to follow instructions and routines after brief explanations.
• Possession of a valid Forklift Driving License.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and proficiency in performing repetitive basic operational tasks.
