Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Designer

Role Overview

Join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Designer, where you'll shape brand identity through impactful design and engineering contributions.

Key Duties

• Create comprehensive 3D models and assemblies using CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Ansys, or equivalent software.
• Design mechanical systems and components from initial concepts through prototype development and final product design.
• Select materials taking into account mechanical strength, thermal characteristics, and environmental considerations.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate seamlessly with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated and viable product outcomes.
• Assess design effectiveness through simulations, calculations, and physical prototyping.

Required Qualifications

• Earned a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing 3D CAD software for product development.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and scalable production methods such as injection molding, mold design, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
• Proven background in mechanical prototyping and product development processes.
• Understanding of various material properties including plastics, metals, and composites.
• Solid grasp of mechanical design principles and system integration.
• Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices and rapid prototyping techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with simulation tools for Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermal analysis, and related evaluations.
• Background designing consumer products and enclosures for IoT devices is advantageous.
