We seek an Operations Manager to lead our dedicated operations team to build a distinguished operational framework. This role involves supervising inbound and pick/pack activities, managing outbound shipments, and overseeing inventory control, while championing continuous improvement with a focus on lean principles that enhance inventory, personnel, and processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to client service level agreements and meet site-specific quality and fulfillment benchmarks.
• Formulate and execute daily operational plans to maintain a safe and efficient work environment on campus.
• Support development and growth of direct team members.
• Assume full operational accountability during your shifts, including second shift and weekend or donut shifts as required.
• Lead the Individual Performance Management program for your department.
• Set priorities and communicate clear shift directives to optimize operational accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients regarding operations.
• Manage quality assurance by establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing tools and procedures to meet quality objectives.
• Conduct performance appraisals and deliver constructive feedback to reports, including salaried managers.
• Promote a culture focusing on continuous improvement within the operations value stream.
• Drive productivity enhancements aligned with key performance indicators.
• Lead lean process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Organize resources to enhance safety, quality, customer service, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain current training programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within your area.
• Encourage a workplace culture with high accountability, employee engagement, and empowerment.
• Manage seasonal staffing relationships and keep the director updated on labor demands.
• Oversee budgetary responsibilities for the value stream.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like LEAN and Six Sigma; Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• At least two years of progressive operational management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of up to 100 employees.
• Proven success in driving productivity through continuous improvement efforts.
• Execution-driven, results-oriented, adaptable professional.
• Superior communication and motivational skills.
• Solid understanding of internal customer needs with a collaborative approach.
• Strong analytical skills for defect identification and root cause analysis.
• Capability to identify and seize process improvement opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency.
• Experience establishing or improving quality control protocols.
• Eagerness to learn all operational functions thoroughly.
• Competent coaching, mentoring, and motivating skills.
• Strong influence to work effectively with peers and senior leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Intermediate level math skills are essential.
