Role Overview

The Payment Specialist role is a part-time, on-site position located in Dallas, TX. The primary responsibility includes managing and processing payment card transactions and associated financial tasks. Daily duties involve reviewing and posting payments, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The specialist liaises with internal departments and external partners to resolve payment-related issues and support accurate financial reporting. Additional tasks include contributing to process improvements, maintaining documentation, and occasionally assisting with audits or financial reviews.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Capable of analyzing transaction data, identifying inconsistencies, and assisting in reconciliations.
• Experience in payment card processing systems, comfortable handling large transaction volumes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and address payment inquiries.
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles to aid in accurate posting and reporting.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability when managing sensitive financial information.
• Proficiency using spreadsheets and financial software; familiarity with ERP or payment platforms is advantageous.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Educational background including an associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related area, or equivalent relevant experience.
