Role Overview
We are seeking a Performance Marketing Manager/Senior Analyst to lead the analytical and performance-driven aspects of our marketing operations. This position is a senior individual contributor role, emphasizing strategic analysis and quantitative rigor rather than execution. The ideal candidate will enhance revenue growth by uncovering opportunities within paid media channels and our website, conducting forecasting, optimizing conversion rates through experiments, and translating performance metrics into strategic guidance. Additionally, this role influences creative strategy by incorporating performance insights and collaborates cross-functionally to align messaging with conversion data. Reporting directly to the Director of Growth Marketing, this role requires a strong quantitative foundation, a related academic background, and a proactive, high-quality work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance analysis and forecasting for paid media channels to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities that inform strategic decisions.
- Oversee conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts on the website and landing pages by designing and implementing experiments to boost conversion rates and revenue.
- Manage website and landing page analytics to maintain an ongoing optimization plan in partnership with relevant teams.
- Create and maintain forecasting and reporting frameworks linking channel activities to revenue, providing transparency to leadership and teams on growth drivers.
- Direct paid media strategies across platforms, such as Meta and Google, acting as the analytical voice among agency partners and internal stakeholders.
- Provide performance-based creative feedback to internal teams and external partners, developing briefs and guiding messaging based on conversion data.
- Manage an ongoing test-and-learn program across paid channels, landing pages, and creative messaging to continuously drive incremental improvements.
- Translate analytical insights into targeted creative iteration ensuring paid advertisements evolve based on performance data.
- Present data-driven analysis and recommendations in strategic planning sessions to senior management and executive leadership, influencing channel investments and growth approaches.
- Maintain and develop partnerships with growth-related vendors and platforms ensuring accountability to performance and optimal utilization of tools.
- Aggregate and interpret platform data from paid channels to inform strategies for internal teams and agency collaborators.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in performance or growth marketing, or a closely aligned analytical position within DTC or e-commerce sectors, with demonstrated ownership of quantitative analyses.
- Expertise in performance data analysis, with the ability to independently analyze complex datasets and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience leading CRO initiatives, including experiment design, evaluation, and iterative improvements.
- Practical experience managing and optimizing paid media channels, and providing analytical guidance to agency partners.
- Ability to integrate data-driven insights into creative strategy development, including brief creation and directing messaging based on conversion results.
- Strong proficiency with analytics platforms such as GA4 and attribution tools; adept at rapidly converting raw data into strategic insights.
- Capacity to link channel performance with overall business metrics and influence leadership decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder alignment and confident presentation of recommendations.
- A self-driven individual who thrives in fast-paced, lean environments without needing close supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or related quantitative disciplines strongly preferred.
- Experience with data attribution platforms like Northbeam or Triple Whale.
- Familiarity with incrementality testing methods, including geo-holdout studies.
- Preference for candidates based in New York City with ability to work onsite at our Manhattan office.
Preferred Experience
- Background in fashion, retail, or DTC startup environments.
- Knowledge of Shopify Plus, GA4, and paid media reporting systems.
- Exposure to creative production processes or performance creative tools, such as Figma.
- Experience managing paid social agencies and vendor partnerships related to growth marketing.
- Hands-on familiarity with ad management platforms like Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads considered an advantage.
Compensation
