Overview
Clarendon Distillers Limited seeks a dedicated and proactive Plant Reliability Engineer to join our team in Kingston, Jamaica. This pivotal role centers on maintaining our industrial equipment and production facilities at optimal performance levels, contributing directly to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies based on total productive maintenance (TPM) principles to improve equipment efficiency, uptime, reliability, and lifespan.
- Manage all maintenance operations including planned, preventive, and scheduled maintenance activities; ensure accurate real-time documentation in the CMMS to monitor key performance indicators and minimize machine downtime.
- Collaborate closely with operations and project teams to support equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations aligned with production objectives.
- Enforce strict safety standards and ensure full compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team, promoting a culture focused on continuous improvement and professional development.
- Control the maintenance budget and manage inventory to guarantee cost efficiency and timely availability of spare parts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years experience managing industrial maintenance in manufacturing environments, preferably within distilleries or analogous industries.
- Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Strong technical knowledge of production equipment, utilities, and established maintenance best practices.
