About Outmarket
Outmarket is creating a new-generation AI platform focused on commercial insurance. Its products support brokers, MGAs, and carriers in automating important workflows and uncovering insights from complicated data. The company is already collaborating with innovative agencies and is expanding rapidly.
The team includes people with backgrounds at Uber, Meta, Adobe, and IBM Watson, and it operates with a fast pace from idea to release. Outmarket values curiosity, sound judgment, and a practical, hands-on approach to learning.
About the Role
Outmarket is looking for a Product Intern to contribute to product discovery, execution, and learning across the platform. This is a practical, active role for someone who wants to see how effective product teams operate in a fast-moving AI-native company. It is not intended to be an observation-only internship.
You will collaborate closely with product leaders, engineers, and founders on customer-facing features as well as internal product workflows.
Why This Role
- Get direct insight into how product decisions are made in a high-growth setting.
- Work on features that can move from concept to launch quickly.
- Learn from experienced leaders across product, engineering, and the broader company.
- Build real-world experience in user research, product documentation, testing, and analytics.
- Have the chance to move into a full-time position depending on performance.
What You’ll Do
- Draft product specifications and record feature requirements clearly.
- Assist with user research and turn findings into input for product and design choices.
- Test new functionality, collect user feedback, and partner with engineers to rank improvements.
- Review user behavior data and help establish product success measures.
- Observe customer discussions and help convert business needs into product opportunities.
- Contribute to real product initiatives instead of only internal practice work.
What We’re Looking For
- You are currently studying or have recently finished a degree in Computer Science, Business, Product, Design, or a similar area.
- You have a strong interest in building software products and understanding how they reach the market.
- You communicate well in both writing and speaking.
- You are organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership.
- You are curious about AI, workflow software, and customer-driven product development.
- You have solid product instincts and are confident asking thoughtful, challenging questions.
Bonus If You Have
- Worked on side projects, student startups, or academic work centered on product development.
- Some exposure to design sprints, user research, or basic analytics.
- An interest in AI, workflow automation, or vertical software.
What You’ll Get
- Practical experience working with AI, data, and workflow products.
- Guidance and mentorship from experienced product leaders and engineers.
- Remote flexibility and a high-trust work environment.
- A pathway to grow into a full-time role.
