Role Overview
Join Hitachi Energy as a Product Manager within the Power Transformer Product Line, reporting to the Regional Product Manager (RPM). You will spearhead efforts to enhance market competitiveness by benchmarking, assessing technology trends, and supporting regional product strategy execution across HUB APMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute regional product roadmap initiatives aligned with market demand within HUB APMEA.
- Assist RPM by delivering regional Market Requirements Specifications (MRS) and business cases for Global Product Managers (GPMs) and R&D projects.
- Drive competitiveness by developing solutions that meet customer requirements, optimize transformer designs, and manage cost efficiencies, including leading validation of design-to-value projects.
- Review transformer design concepts and coordinate with stakeholders to enhance competitiveness across five PT factories in HUB APMEA.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Sales (M&S) to identify strategic opportunities and monitor progress on competitiveness initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with regional competitiveness efforts by working with Engineering, SCM, M&S, Production departments, Global Product Specialists, and Global TopGun Designers.
- Support RPM in implementing Power Transformer strategies under HUB APMEA.
- Create training programs for relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external policies and regulatory requirements related to regional product management and competitive analysis.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is mandatory; a master's is beneficial.
- Minimum five years of engineering experience, preferably in power transformer industry, with added advantage for skills in product analytics and competitive analysis.
- Deep technical knowledge of power transformer manufacturing processes and industry technologies to lead competitiveness programs.
- Proficient with engineering software and capable of innovating to improve product competitiveness.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Effective communicator and presenter with ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative mindset. Keen attention to detail and dedication to quality excellence.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse functional and regional teams.
