Role Overview

The Production Planner will oversee planning and procurement activities for a set portfolio of Fresh products, working closely with subcontractors. This role, based in Jersey City, NJ, reports to the Senior Manager of Planning and involves ensuring timely delivery of finished goods and components. Responsibilities include vendor management, maintaining fill rates, and managing production timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of finished goods and components using AX MRP system to guarantee on-time delivery to distribution centers.
• Maintain fill rates and product launch dates in line with or exceeding corporate objectives.
• Manage purchase orders by expediting, deferring, or canceling to meet inventory turn and fill rate targets.
• Serve as primary liaison for assigned vendors, leading weekly calls and fostering collaboration.
• Analyze weekly operational reports and alerts to address supply chain issues.
• Direct and finalize end-of-life product processes.
• Address daily operational challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.

Learning and Growth Milestones

Within the first six months, the Planner will develop an understanding of Fresh’s supply chain, MRP, ECR, and EOL processes, familiarize themselves with their product portfolio, establish supplier relationships, and gain proficiency in AX and QLIK tools.

By twelve months, the Planner is expected to have deep portfolio knowledge, strong supplier connections, mastery of AX, ability to analyze BI reports actively, and create actionable supplier plans.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to remain stationary for roughly 7.5 hours per day.
• Occasional light to moderate lifting may be necessary.
• Regular tasks include standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and computer operation.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 1-4 years in planning roles.
• Technical Skills: Strong grasp of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Attributes: Proactive, quick learner, effective under pressure, and decisive.
• Industry Experience: Prior work in cosmetics or skincare sectors preferred, including packaging or component manufacturing.
• Language: French speaking/working ability is advantageous.
• Software: Experience with AX is beneficial.

Compensation and Location

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The work location is Jersey City, New Jersey.
