Position Overview
Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for an Operations Shift Manager to lead and coordinate a team to successfully bring brands to market. This key role involves overseeing shift performance and ensuring operational success in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, this is a shift-based role requiring flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse operations team within a collaborative and empowered setting to achieve full team engagement.
- Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules, safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and standards related to quality and safety.
- Implement daily and weekly production plans to fulfill all business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, minimizing losses, optimizing costs, and boosting productivity.
- Foster team development to meet performance targets and support professional growth.
- Champion operational excellence and embed a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing lean principles and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a third-level qualification such as a diploma or degree in a business or technical field.
- At least five years' experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven capability in managing people within a team-centered and people-focused workplace.
- Experience with TPM or Lean Manufacturing tools; hands-on implementation experience is preferred.
- Strong ability to juggle multiple priorities and make effective decisions on prioritization.
