Quality Assurance Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Associate to join a reputable food manufacturing company based in County Kildare. This permanent, full-time position involves supporting the implementation, expansion, and ongoing management of food safety and quality management systems at the site. The role reports directly to the QA Document Specialist or Quality Manager and requires collaboration across multiple business functions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits, food safety walks, and compliance inspections to assess Food Safety Management Systems.
• Assist with rolling out and extending quality systems to new areas within the site.
• Advise operations teams and other departments on quality standards and food safety protocols.
• Support both internal and external audit processes, manage documentation, oversee corrective actions, and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Deliver food safety training sessions and engage in projects aimed at enhancing quality across the facility.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification in Quality Assurance or a related scientific discipline.
• At least two years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the food sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Meticulous attention to detail complemented by strong organizational and process-oriented skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of effectively training staff across all organizational levels.
