Role Overview
As a Ramp Control Officer (RCO), you will be responsible for overseeing the safe movement of aircraft within the apron zones and taxi lanes, facilitating smooth and effective traffic flow at one of the busiest airports globally.
Key Responsibilities
From the Ramp Control Tower, your tasks include delivering instructions, clearances, advice, and relevant information to aircraft on the ground within your designated ramp control area. Your guidance will be pivotal in setting the pace for ground operations, ensuring every movement on the apron is conducted safely, orderly, and efficiently.

The decisions you make have significant consequences, as pilots, ground personnel, and airport partners depend on your commands for safe and efficient apron movement. Your clearances influence both the operational effectiveness and safety of ground activities.

Candidate Profile
- Individuals passionate about contributing to the aviation field
- Capability to maintain composure and concentration amid a dynamic operational setting

- Successful completion of a voice test
- Academic credentials in any discipline, preferably in STEM or related fields
Workplace and Hours
- Based at the Ramp Control Tower, Terminal 4, Singapore Changi Airport
- Shift pattern includes rotating schedules encompassing weekends and public holidays to support continuous airport operations
Training Program
Selected candidates will be assigned the role of Probationary Air Traffic Control Support Officers and stationed at the Ramp Control Tower. They will engage in an organized training curriculum to develop operational expertise, communication proficiency, and situational awareness essential for performing ramp control duties safely and efficiently.
