Senior Learning Experience Designer

This opportunity is offered through a partner company based in the United States, seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer. The role focuses on developing impactful learning solutions that enhance faculty development and promote educational excellence by combining instructional design, educational technology, and innovative methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses including learning needs assessments, performance evaluations, stakeholder engagements, and educational planning to identify areas for enhancement.
• Design, develop, implement, and evaluate faculty-focused learning programs such as workshops, institutes, communities of practice, microcredentials, continuing education, and online courses.
• Collaborate closely with faculty, academic leaders, and subject matter experts to translate academic goals into evidence-based learning experiences.
• Develop interactive digital courses leveraging Canvas LMS and other educational technologies, applying instructional design best practices.
• Create instructional materials including facilitator guides, participant resources, templates, toolkits, multimedia content, storyboards, assessments, and documentation for implementation.
• Incorporate adult learning theories, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG), and inclusive design principles to ensure effective and accessible learning.
• Serve as an expert in educational technology and multimedia development, utilizing tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, H5P, Camtasia, Canva, Microsoft 365, and AI-powered learning tools.
• Innovate by prototyping and evaluating educational solutions and recommending emerging technologies to increase learner engagement and effectiveness.
• Provide coaching to faculty subject matter experts and support learning design partners throughout development phases.
• Analyze learning analytics, evaluation outcomes, and learner feedback to continuously improve learning experiences.
• Manage multiple strategic projects, ensuring delivery quality, adherence to timelines, stakeholder alignment, and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Adult Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Organizational Learning, or related fields; doctoral degree preferred.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in learning experience or instructional design, faculty development, organizational learning, or professional development.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within higher education settings.
• Experience designing faculty learning initiatives, professional development programs, or stackable microcredentials is preferred.
• Background in teaching higher education or supporting accredited continuing professional education is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency with Canvas LMS and enterprise learning technologies.
• Skilled in multimedia asset creation using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, H5P, Camtasia, Canva, Microsoft 365, among others.
• Strong foundation in adult learning theory, curriculum and assessment development, evaluation methodologies, and instructional design best practices.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards including ADA and WCAG, and expertise in applying Universal Design for Learning principles.
• Ability to utilize generative AI technologies to enhance instructional design efficiency and learner engagement.
• Excellent project management, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively without formal authority across academic and administrative teams.
• Analytical mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness.
