Role overview
DTE Manufacturing Ltd is part of Glennon Brothers, a timber processing group founded in 1913 and active across Ireland and the UK. The wider group works through brands such as Glennon Brothers, Balcas, DTE, Alexanders Timber Design and Pontrilas, with operations spanning timber products, timber frame homes, roof trusses, CHP facilities and wood pellet manufacturing.
The organisation has grown substantially following the 2026 acquisition of Pontrilas, now employing more than 1,400 people. It operates across multiple sites including Longford, Fermoy, Enniskillen, Troon, Irvine, Windymains and Invergordon, and places strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, customer service and long-term growth.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor will oversee manufacturing activity and quality performance for timber frame kits. The role is focused on meeting hourly and shift production goals while supporting continuous improvement across the team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate production work across the timber frame factory.
- Improve output by making the best use of labour and materials.
- Take direct responsibility for people management, including hiring, onboarding, training, development and performance reviews.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality and overall workforce discipline.
- Promote a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
- Ensure all work follows health and safety requirements.
- Carry out regular checks to confirm quality control standards are being met.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation connected to timber frame manufacturing and loading.
- Encourage a right-first-time approach to quality.
- Work with maintenance teams to close tasks and resolve issues promptly.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in timber frame, manufacturing, or a production setting, preferably in a supervisory or senior operator role. You should understand production workflows, quality expectations and how to keep work moving in a fast-paced environment. The role also calls for the ability to identify and solve operational or quality issues quickly, along with strong communication and people skills. A flexible attitude to shift work and changing production needs is essential.

Working arrangements
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 38.75-hour working week on a shift rotation. The working week runs Monday to Friday. The number of team members supported will depend on business requirements.
