Software Engineer (Level 1)

Overview

This role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and offers a salary between $163,000 and $178,000 annually, plus immediate 401(k) company contributions of $41,000 to $44,000. The position involves serving as a versatile Software Engineer and Data Analyst within a dynamic, mission-critical team supporting a vital Operations customer. Collaboration with Analysts, Operators, and fellow Software Engineers is essential to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and rapidly develop prototypes that support mission success.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to assess the suitability of AI and ML-driven solutions.
• Create automated analysis and triage processes across diverse data collection methods.
• Incorporate new capabilities into current platforms and software development kits (SDKs).
• Develop scripts and user interfaces to standardize and transform data sets.
• Enhance existing platforms by automating task assignment and collection using innovative tools or technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with platforms supporting machine learning and AI tools.
• Proven ability in production-grade software development using Python or JavaScript.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining services in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Git version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with Atlassian software tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Additional programming skills in languages like Java or C.
• Competence in building web applications using JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.
• Background in analyzing cybersecurity data including network traffic and operating system events.
• Understanding of full-spectrum SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
• Experience with production cyber network operations (CNO) capabilities and missions.

Education and Experience Requirements

The candidate must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience along with a bachelor's degree in a technical field, or alternatively, seven years of experience without a degree.
