Team Leader

Overview

As a vital member of the management team, the Team Leader supports both the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the daily functions of the retail store to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Daily Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to store associates, offering guidance and encouragement.
• Manage store merchandising activities, including shelf stocking and handling shipments through boxing and unboxing.
• Ensure that customer service standards are consistently upheld to deliver a positive shopping experience.
• Perform manager-on-duty duties such as monitoring breaks, tracking time, and managing attendance.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the store to enhance product presentation.
• Quickly address and resolve customer complaints and any operational issues that arise.
• Oversee store safety and cleanliness protocols to provide a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Handle cash management along with store opening and closing responsibilities as needed.
• Participate actively in inventory control processes and assist with employee training programs.
• Follow up on specific tasks assigned and contribute to hiring and managing the performance of store employees.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of retail experience is essential.
• Between one and two years of experience in a supervisory position.
• A strong desire to grow and advance within the company.
• Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Excellent leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
• Capability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently in a busy retail setting.
