About the Role
Join DHL Express, a global leader in cross-border express delivery operating in over 220 countries and territories, dedicated to connecting people and improving lives through international trade. As a Technical Records Engineer based in Muharraq, Bahrain, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and comprehensive technical records for aircraft and their components, supporting continued airworthiness and quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update maintenance records of aircraft and engines in the MIS system accurately.
- Manage availability and accessibility of digital logbooks upon request.
- Generate historical and service reports for parts tracked in the system, supported by appropriate airworthiness documentation.
- Collect, consolidate, and verify maintenance work packages after inspections and maintenance activities, updating the MIS system accordingly.
- Handle receiving inspections of Landing Gears, APU, and Engines, ensuring presence and accuracy of shop visit records and correct part number controls in the system.
- Publish daily fleet status reports including forecasted inspection schedules and remaining time to next inspections.
- Document compliance with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and alerts affecting aircraft, engines, propellers, and components.
- Archive all completed technical records for aircraft and engines as per approved procedures.
- Assist in preparing regulatory paperwork and submissions for aircraft registration and airworthiness certificate renewals.
- Support setting up new aircraft records in the MIS system upon purchase in coordination with Technical Services Engineers, identifying discrepancies and informing management.
- Prepare documents for aircraft redelivery as necessary.
- Produce monthly and bi-weekly aircraft reports and maintain fleet technical information via PowerBi.
- Liaise with support teams to ensure accuracy and maintenance of MIS software.
- Act as a functional tester during new software application rollouts or upgrades, ensuring integration with other airline systems.
- Serve as Technical Records representative during C Checks to ensure real-time update of work package completion in MIS.
- Lead digital transformation and harmonization initiatives including analytics and system integration.
- Assist supervisors and assume their duties during absences as required.
- Develop, maintain, and audit departmental procedures and records, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and resolve any daily maintenance discrepancies and manage work package data effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree, Engineering Diploma, or Aircraft Maintenance Certification.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance record-keeping.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to retrieve and maintain aircraft documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with aircraft and component maintenance regulatory requirements timely and precisely.
- Experience managing airline technical applications and providing support to Engineering, Quality, and Materials departments.
- Ability to deputize as Technical Records Manager when needed.
- Maintain record-keeping systems adhering to Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Familiarity with general office procedures and proficient computer literacy.
