About the Internship
Join HeyBuddy as an Interior Design Counsellor focused on advising homeowners and managing designer partnerships. This role involves guiding Indian homeowners through one of their most significant and complex investments: interior design. You'll help cut through confusion by understanding projects, budgets, and timelines to connect homeowners with appropriate design experts. Concurrently, you'll recruit and onboard interior designers, establishing a strong network on the platform. The position is divided approximately into 45% homeowner counselling, 30% designer partnerships and onboarding, 15% pipeline and CRM management, and 10% coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with homeowners after website queries, advertisements, and expos to assess their requirements, explain pricing and project execution, and offer unbiased advisory services.
- Perform needs assessment to map homeowners’ property location, possession status, project scope, budget, and timelines to suitable designers.
- Manage the entire designer partner pipeline by sourcing designers through platforms such as Instagram, referrals, and market research; then pitching, negotiating, and closing partnerships.
- Evaluate design partners' portfolios, capabilities, team strengths, and client feedback, then facilitate their onboarding process including documentation and commission agreements.
- Maintain ongoing follow-ups using calls and messaging platforms to ensure homeowner and designer engagement throughout decision-making periods.
- Maintain detailed CRM records and ensure pipeline cleanliness for transparent team visibility.
- Coordinate designer introductions, site visits, confirmations, and feedback collection.
- Provide market insights by reporting homeowner and designer feedback such as objections, pricing concerns, and competitor information to internal teams.
Required Skills
- Fluency in spoken Hindi and English.
- Strong consultative communication and active listening capabilities.
- Ability to source, screen, and negotiate effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Excel or Google Sheets and CRM systems (training provided).
Candidate Profile and Eligibility
- Individuals who enjoy extended, meaningful conversations and can confidently advise customers on decisions involving investments between 10-50 lakh INR.
- Patient, consultative approach rather than aggressive sales techniques.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of calls daily.
- Available for a full-time, in-office position based in Ghaziabad/Noida.
- Preferred prior experience includes counselling in education, recruitment, HR, real estate, or interiors, although freshers with strong communication skills and an interest in design are welcome.
Career Progression
- Entry-level positions as intern (3-6 months duration) or direct counsellor roles, with real counselling tasks from the onset.
- Performance-based conversion from intern to full-time counsellor based on quality of communication, follow-up diligence, and outcomes.
- Advancement to senior counsellor roles mentoring junior team members and managing pipelines.
