About the Role

BookBI is developing AI-driven accounting software designed to help small and medium-sized businesses simplify bookkeeping, invoicing, VAT handling, and overall financial administration. The team is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper who understands the practical accounting needs of small businesses and is interested in contributing to the evolution of modern accounting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle routine bookkeeping work on a daily basis.
• Enter, track, and match financial transactions accurately.
• Draft and check financial statements and reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Support VAT-related compliance tasks and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Keep all financial data current, complete, and accurate.
• Work with the product team by providing practical feedback to help improve the BookBI platform.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting is expected.
• Solid knowledge of core accounting concepts and practices is necessary.
• Hands-on experience using bookkeeping or accounting software is needed.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT rules is an added advantage.
• Strong precision, organization, and attention to detail are essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
