Job Objective

The role requires overseeing cash, cheque, and other financial transactions precisely and efficiently as per company guidelines. The supervisor is also responsible for managing a team to meet financial targets and ensuring compliance across branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cash counters remain operational to meet business demands.
• Deliver customer service aligned with the company’s ARIE standards.
• Communicate transaction regulations clearly and professionally to customers.
• Offer guidance on ARIE products and services when needed.
• Aim to minimize customer waiting and service times, improving turnaround time.
• Direct customers to pertinent departments for queries, special offers, and related services.
• Address customer complaints and feedback promptly, resolving escalated issues effectively.
• Maintain optimal profit margins on transactions.
• Encourage referrals and cross-selling to existing clientele.
• Actively contribute to customer acquisition and retention efforts.
• Supervise exchange rate settings to balance profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Compile regular competition analysis reports and implement improvements.
• Manage foreign currency, remittances, and customer transactions adhering strictly to policies.
• Ensure cash handling practices comply with company standards, maintaining accurate till balances.
• Oversee branch cash resources, manage sourcing and disposal efficiently, and handle bank deposits.
• Secure financial instruments like drafts and traveler’s cheques vigilantly.
• Promptly report discrepancies such as under or over amounts to superiors.
• Execute due diligence in customer transactions, internal controls, AML compliance, and KYC to manage risks.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and propose constructive changes.
• Monitor daily branch activities ensuring full adherence to corporate procedures.
• Guide branch team towards zero operational defects and timely task completion.
• Evaluate and enhance cashier performance by providing necessary intervention and support.
• Recognize cashier training requirements and communicate them to management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A graduation degree in any relevant discipline, preferably with an accounting background.
• Over 5 years’ experience as a cashier or teller, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior branch operations role at a bank or reputable exchange house.
• Experience handling large volumes of cash is advantageous.
