CAD Engineer

Job Overview

Bhavya Industries is seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to assist in developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for new products and components. The role involves supporting the entire New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from initial concept through to designs ready for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks software.
• Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to guarantee that designs are feasible for manufacturing and comply with technical specifications.
• Prepare and update engineering documentation, including drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Contribute to prototype creation and participate in design verification through testing.
• Incorporate feedback garnered from inspections and trial runs to enhance design iterations.
• Maintain accurate version control and documentation for all CAD files.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to clarify design requirements when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 1 and 3 years of practical experience working with SolidWorks software.
• Proven background supporting New Product Development initiatives.
• Solid grasp of engineering drawing principles, tolerance standards, and foundational GD&T concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with close attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams including production and quality groups.
• Flexibility to undertake hands-on work on the shop floor for validating designs if required.
