Role Overview

The Campus Services Manager role involves directing campus operations, managing student support services, coordinating facilities, and spearheading service improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of campus services, planning operations strategically, managing vendors, enhancing student experiences, and facilitating cross-departmental cooperation to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality operations in both physical and digital educational spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute campus service strategies, operational frameworks, institutional policies, and service standards that align with organizational goals and student success programs.
• Manage campus service operations including student support, receptions, transport logistics, accommodation coordination, facilities upkeep, dining services, event assistance, campus logistics, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse departments including Student Affairs, Academics, Facilities, IT, Security, HR, Finance, Procurement, Health & Safety, and Executive teams to deliver cohesive campus services.
• Establish service standards, operational protocols, customer service methodologies, emergency procedures, and business continuity strategies.
• Supervise third-party vendors, maintenance contractors, transport providers, catering, cleaning, and outsourced campus support services.
• Organize and support campus events such as orientations, student activities, conferences, graduations, community engagements, and official institutional functions.
• Oversee maintenance of campus facilities, manage service requests and work orders, optimize space utilization, implement accessibility measures, and lead sustainability and environmental quality initiatives.
• Handle budgeting, procurement, resource distribution, vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and overall operational performance metrics.
• Implement quality assurance processes for services, conduct performance assessments, gather stakeholder feedback, and initiate ongoing enhancements.
• Track and analyze KPIs such as student satisfaction, response times, facility usage, maintenance completion rates, vendor effectiveness, efficiency, budget adherence, health and safety compliance, and overall campus experience.
• Perform audits, evaluate services, assess risks, ensure compliance, conduct benchmarking studies, and continually improve campus operations.
• Ensure adherence to UAE education regulations, safety standards, accessibility codes, environmental guidelines, emergency preparedness policies, and institutional governance.
• Promote sustainability by advancing energy-saving measures, waste reduction, green initiatives, responsible resource management, and environmentally conscious operations.
• Lead digital transformation efforts involving AI-driven service management, smart campus technology integration, predictive maintenance, digital portals for services, automated workflows, occupancy analytics, and business intelligence tools.
• Utilize systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Archibus, Planon, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, and other facility or campus management platforms to enhance operations and inform decision-making.
• Prepare reports, executive dashboards, vendor performance summaries, facility assessments, risk analyses, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities for campus services coordinators, facilities teams, student support staff, and administrators, cultivating a culture centered on excellence, inclusiveness, teamwork, accountability, and continuous progress.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in fields such as Business Administration, Facilities Management, Higher Education Administration, Hospitality, Public Administration, Operations Management, or a related domain.
• Advanced degrees (MBA or master’s in Higher Education Leadership, Facilities Management, Public Administration, etc.) are highly preferred.
• Professional certifications like Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL, Health & Safety certifications, or customer service management credentials are advantageous.
• Minimum of five years' experience in related roles such as campus services, student affairs, facilities or operations management, hospitality, or education administration.
• At least two years in leadership positions managing campus operations, student services, facilities teams, vendor relationships, or service delivery programs within institutions is favored.
• Comprehensive knowledge of campus operations, facilities and vendor management, student support services, event coordination, health and safety regulations, emergency response practices, and operational excellence principles.
• Proficiency with software and platforms including Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Archibus, Planon, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, and facility or campus management technologies.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art AI-driven smart campus technologies, predictive maintenance platforms, IoT monitoring systems, intelligent scheduling tools, and advanced analytics solutions is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, customer service, project oversight, budgeting, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple campus service projects, balancing student needs, compliance, budget constraints, deadlines, and institutional strategic aims.
• Comfort and effectiveness working remotely with dispersed teams, academic leaders, students, vendors, contractors, executives, and global stakeholders, with occasional travel requirements for inspections, events, reviews, emergency coordination, and strategic meetings.
