Role Overview
The Civil Construction Engineer will oversee and coordinate civil construction operations related to EPC oil and gas pipeline projects. This professional ensures that all civil works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and clients is essential to deliver projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day civil construction activities at the site.
- Evaluate engineering drawings, specifications, and construction procedures prior to execution.
- Ensure compliance of civil works with project specifications, client expectations, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with pipeline, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, QA/QC, and HSE teams for seamless project progression.
- Track construction progress to meet approved timelines.
- Conduct site inspections and assist with quality control measures.
- Supervise subcontractors to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Address technical challenges during construction and offer engineering solutions.
- Review construction progress reports, quantities, and documentation.
- Enforce HSE regulations and encourage a safe workplace environment.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
- Support activities related to project commissioning, handover, and closure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering concepts, construction techniques, and global engineering standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering software is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to function effectively within multidisciplinary construction teams.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in EPC civil engineering for oil and gas construction projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in pipeline construction including civil components such as pipelines, valve and scraper stations, foundation works, access roads, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites coordinating various disciplines.
- Prior involvement in Saudi Aramco projects is highly valued.
- Understanding of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Construction Safety Manual (CSM), and quality assurance protocols is beneficial.
