Role Overview
Primary Talent Partners is offering a 6-month contract opportunity (with possible extension) for a Data Analyst in the Advisory Data & Research team located in Richardson, TX. This position supports a commercial real estate client, focusing on transforming data into actionable insights to drive decision-making.
Compensation & Contract Details
The role pays between $40 and $47 per hour, structured as a W2 contract without paid time off or benefits; however, an ACA-compliant supplemental insurance package is available for participation. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to be onboarded as a W2 employee without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end analytical workstreams, consolidating input from users, stakeholders, and leadership to prioritize questions and metrics.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics using clean, documented SQL queries; manage data backlogs; facilitate refinement sessions; engage actively in scrum ceremonies, demos, and lead user testing for analytics products.
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to explore data needs, conduct user research, gather feedback, and ensure metrics and visualizations meet user requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering and Data Engineering to translate business needs into well-structured and reliable data models and queries.
- Perform full-cycle analysis, including problem framing, validation, presentation of findings, and measuring impact.
- Present data insights clearly to business and D&T leadership, aligning daily work with strategic goals.
- Identify and address data quality issues proactively to prevent roadblocks, communicating clearly about problems and resolutions.
- Exemplify organizational values such as leadership, trust-building, and collaborative engagement in cross-functional settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, with proven impact through analysis.
- Proficient in SQL with experience handling large and complex datasets; competent in modern BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker; familiarity with Python or R for analysis and automation is advantageous.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to identify critical questions and communicate rationale effectively.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, from technical team members to executive leadership.
- Committed to data integrity, asking rigorous questions, validating assumptions, and being open to changing conclusions based on evidence.
- Adaptability to ambiguity, shifting priorities, and managing multiple tasks to maintain analytical focus.
- Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with analytics and data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Experience with data modeling, maintaining data quality standards, and understanding governance aligned with product and business decisions.
- Commercial Real Estate experience is a positive but not mandatory.
