Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain executive, operational, and financial reports.
• Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
• Analyze operational and financial data to discern trends, risks, opportunities, and core business drivers.
• Create performance dashboards and scorecards for various organizational levels including company, division, department, and project scopes.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and business planning activities.
• Provide leadership with ad hoc data analyses and support special projects.
• Utilize tools such as Power BI, Datarails, Excel, and SQL to develop, automate, and maintain recurring reports.
• Design informative dashboards and visualizations for operational and executive decision-making.
• Define and document essential reporting prerequisites, KPIs, metrics, and business rules.
• Ensure organizational consistency, accuracy, and usability of reports.
• Enhance reporting workflows via automation and standardization initiatives.
• Draft, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, transform, and analyze data.
• Integrate data from assorted business platforms into cohesive reporting frameworks.
• Assist data governance efforts, quality assurance checks, validation procedures, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate across finance, operational units, projects, and executive leadership to identify data-driven solutions matching business questions.
• Educate stakeholders on reporting technologies and foster continuous process improvements leveraging data and technology.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering reports, dashboards, datasets, and associated procedures.
• Stay abreast of emerging reporting technologies and best practices.
• Occasionally visit construction sites adhering to safety protocols and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Expertise:

• Proficient with SQL for data extraction including joins, filters, and aggregation functions.
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel advanced functionalities such as formulas and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Datarails, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.

Education and Experience

• Academic projects, internships, or practical experience involving SQL, Power BI, Datarails, Excel, or financial analysis is advantageous.
