About the Role
REVOLVE is hiring a Design Manager to help lead a new initiative within its Owned Brand portfolio. This person will guide the design team’s day-to-day work, support the broader design direction set by leadership, and help make sure each collection fits the brand, resonates with customers, reflects current trends, and is delivered on schedule.
Design Development
- Oversee the full design journey from early concept development through final sample sign-off, working under senior leadership direction.
- Keep collections aligned with the brand’s identity, customer needs, and seasonal direction.
- Research fabrics, trims, and silhouettes to support fresh ideas that can also succeed commercially.
Team and Workflow Management
- Guide and support junior designers, assistants, and interns so assignments are completed accurately and on time.
- Share feedback and direction with the team while helping maintain a collaborative, creative atmosphere.
- Manage seasonal calendars, monitor timelines, and keep projects moving toward delivery deadlines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the overseas design team to align on concepts, execution, and collection timing.
- Partner with merchandising, production, and technical design teams so the designs can be produced efficiently and within cost targets.
- Communicate with vendors and fabric or trim suppliers when needed.
- Coordinate with marketing to help ensure product launches present the final collection consistently.
Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience designing contemporary women’s apparel.
- At least 2 years of experience supervising or mentoring a design team.
- A degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or a related discipline.
- Experience building tech packs and collaborating with production and merchandising partners.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and fit.
- Excellent organization and project coordination abilities with sharp attention to detail.
- Comfort handling multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, plus teamwork skills across internal and overseas partners.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other CAD or design software.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working with international design or production teams.
- Background in contemporary or luxury fashion.
