Group Overview
The Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) offers comprehensive capabilities for rapid modification and deployment of mission-specific aircraft. The Airborne Asset Adaptation (A3) Cell manages requirements and external coordination from initiation to operational delivery. The Aircraft Integration Centre (AIC) focuses on airframe modification while Aerospace Design (ASD) provides design engineering and FAA certification. Together, these units streamline the journey from initial requirements to field-ready, flight-certified aircraft.
Role Summary
The Engineering Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting engineering programs by managing schedules, documentation, and communication across multiple teams to ensure projects meet deadlines and compliance standards. This role liaises with engineering, operations, quality assurance, supply chain, and program management to track deliverables, maintain project documentation, support reporting, and identify potential risks or delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain logs and version control for technical drawings, reports, and compliance checklists, ensuring formal release of documents.
- Keep accurate, organized archives of conformity data, change history, and engineering baselines.
- Guarantee that technical files are properly structured and accessible for internal teams and external audits.
- Track engineering project calendars and monitor task deadlines aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule.
- Coordinate milestones related to conformity events, compliance submissions, and FAA/ODA reviews.
- Provide precise schedule data to project managers highlighting task dependencies and resource requirements.
- Assist with preparation, routing, and tracking approval status of regulatory documentation packages.
- Manage administrative workflows involving Design Change Requests and Engineering Data Packages.
- Review engineering submissions for compliance with file-naming conventions and data retention policies.
- Propose enhancements to administrative processes to optimize document control and routing efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 1–3 years in document control, scheduling, or administrative roles within regulated environments, or an Associate Degree in Aviation Technology, Engineering Technology, or related disciplines.
- Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Project Management, or similar fields.
- Experience within the aviation sector is strongly favored.
