Role Overview
This position is a full-time, on-site Financial Advisor role located in Westport. The advisor interacts directly with clients to understand their financial goals and circumstances, providing tailored advice on insurance, protection, investments, savings, and pension products. Key duties involve creating and presenting customized financial plans, reviewing clients' existing policies and investments, and ensuring all guidance aligns with regulatory and company standards. The advisor supports clients through various life events, maintains ongoing relationships, handles enquiries, and works closely with colleagues across the Ask Acorn network. Additionally, this role supports local business development and ensures accurate compliance and data protection record-keeping.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in financial planning and advisory, capable of crafting personalized solutions for diverse client requirements.
- Solid understanding of finance and investment principles, including risk evaluation, product knowledge, and wealth accumulation strategies.
- Proficiency in retirement planning, encompassing pension schemes and strategies for retirement income.
- Relevant professional financial services qualification, such as QFA, or in progress towards obtaining such credentials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly articulate complex financial concepts.
- Customer-centric mindset with prior experience in advisory, client service, or sales within financial or related sectors.
- High ethical standards with rigorous attention to detail and adherence to regulatory compliance and data privacy policies.
- Capability to work independently on-site in Galway while effectively collaborating with the broader Ask Acorn team.
