Role Purpose
As a Frontend Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain web applications and digital experiences for Institutional Banking & Markets customers, along with internal users such as bankers, traders, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create responsive, modern web applications using technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop user-friendly interfaces for banking products such as trading, payments, lending, onboarding, servicing, market data, and risk management platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, Business Analysts, and Backend Engineers to deliver seamless customer journeys end-to-end.
- Integrate frontend applications with APIs and enterprise services efficiently.
- Implement reusable UI components abiding by design system standards to enhance consistency and maintainability.
- Ensure the applications comply with accessibility, security, and performance standards.
- Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and support DevSecOps practices.
- Engage in code reviews, testing, observability, and production support activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Leverage AI-powered engineering tools and automation to boost delivery speed and software quality.
Required Skills
- Proficient with React.js and Next.js frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript programming languages.
- Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3 for web layout and styling.
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with version control using Git and GitHub.
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Cypress, or similar.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of banking and financial markets domain.
- Experience in trading, payments, treasury, or risk management platforms.
- Collaboration with UX teams using tools like Figma.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Working with AI-enabled engineering tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native system architectures.
