Our Content and Business Product Engineering team is responsible for the technology that drives the entire content lifecycle from inception to streaming. We build platforms and systems that support teams worldwide in planning, producing, distributing, and marketing the stories our members enjoy.

The Content Infrastructure & Solutions (CIS) division enables innovation in content and studios by providing core platforms and services supporting Netflix's global content ecosystem with secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure. Content Foundations Engineering (CFE), a vital part of CIS, develops the foundational data and access management platforms for Netflix’s content business. Within CFE, the User and Access Management team creates experiences, platforms, backend services, and data solutions aimed at seamless user onboarding and access control within the Netflix Content and Studio ecosystem.

We manage hundreds of thousands of users and numerous applications to facilitate user and access handling while continuously enhancing security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack software solutions, including creating and consuming GraphQL or RESTful APIs to support rich client-side features.
• Develop resilient, scalable, and low-latency backend services suitable for production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design, product, and engineering teams to build, test, deploy, and launch features end-to-end.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident post-mortem reviews.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse teams to drive informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with object-oriented languages such as Java or C# and application of solid object-oriented design principles.
• Experience working with microservices architectures, data modeling, API design, and translating business needs into technical plans and data schemas.
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including multithreading, parallelism, and software observability.
• Hands-on front-end development skills using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, with exposure to React and modern frontend architectural patterns like component design, state management, and performance tuning.
• Strong focus on UI/UX quality and craftsmanship.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is structured as an annual salary only, without bonuses. Total compensation ranges from $250,000 to $413,000, allowing each individual to decide the proportion between cash salary and stock options. Determinations are made considering market data, job family, skills, and experience.

Hourly full-time employees accrue 35 days annually for vacation, holidays, and sick leave; full-time salaried employees have flexible time off immediately.
