Carelynk is a healthcare workforce platform based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, servicing long-term care homes and healthcare facilities in the region. The platform addresses staffing shortages that directly affect care facilities and residents by ensuring shifts are appropriately filled through its software.

Role Overview

We are seeking two Full Stack Developers to contribute to our API, administrative web interface, and mobile application projects. These roles are designed to be comprehensive, allowing you to take full ownership of features from database schema design through API development to front-end user interfaces. You will collaborate directly with users, gaining immediate feedback and observing the impact of your contributions within the same week.

Technical Stack

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Knex migrations, Zod
• Web: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Redux Toolkit, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, React Hook Form
• Mobile: React Native (iOS and Android), React Navigation, Redux Toolkit, Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SES, SNS), CI/CD pipelines, Sentry

Candidate Profile

• 3 to 7 years of experience building and delivering scalable production web applications
• Proficient in TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development
• Experienced in PostgreSQL with the ability to read query plans and write SQL independently, without relying purely on ORMs
• Solid experience with React; familiarity with React Native is highly desirable but not mandatory
• Hands-on experience in operating deployed software, including troubleshooting production issues through logs and tracing
• Effective written communication skills to support decision-making within a small, agile team
• Must be located in Halifax Regional Municipality or willing to relocate; hybrid role requires presence onsite partly
• Eligible to work in Canada; sponsorship for work permits or visas is not offered

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• Experience handling regulated or healthcare data
• Familiarity with mobile app store release cycles (Apple App Store / Google Play Store)
• Exposure to AI or large language model feature development

Important Details

This position is hybrid based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Fully remote candidates or applicants outside Nova Scotia will not be considered. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Canada as we do not provide work permit sponsorship. We encourage applications from qualified candidates who meet these criteria.
