General Labourer - Manufacturing

Overview

This role involves supporting production tasks in a furniture and fixtures manufacturing facility. Candidates should hold a secondary school diploma or possess equivalent experience. Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Language and Education

• Fluent English communication skills required
• High school graduation certificate or matching experience necessary

Work Environment

• The position requires onsite presence at the Brantford, Ontario location; remote work is not an option.
• Working conditions include exposure to dust, noises, and dirt in a manufacturing setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support machine operators, assemblers, and other factory personnel.
• Perform general laboring tasks and assistance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and surrounding work areas.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Capability to work independently amidst a fast-moving environment.
• Tasks may be repetitive and physically demanding, including handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail are essential.
• Standing for prolonged durations and managing a significant workload under pressure are expected.

Required Tools and Personal Attributes

• Provision of steel-toed safety boots is necessary.
• Dependability, punctuality, communication skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and teamwork aptitude are required.
