Role Overview

The Global Logistics Manager is charged with managing day-to-day global logistics that ensure the timely, safe, and compliant transport of radiopharmaceuticals worldwide. This position requires strict adherence to regulatory frameworks, Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and radiation safety standards, crucial for handling sensitive radioactive shipments. The role collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and external logistics partners, acting as the central coordinator for transport operations, shipment tracking, issue resolution, and performance management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive daily logistics operations and international shipments of radiopharmaceutical products and related materials.
• Coordinate closely with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and distribution networks to guarantee punctual delivery.
• Monitor shipments actively and initiate proactive measures to mitigate delays, disruptions, and exceptions.
• Serve as the main escalation contact for critical logistic challenges impacting product availability and patient treatment schedules.
• Ensure precise and prompt preparation of all required shipping documentation, including export/import and hazardous materials paperwork.
• Align shipment scheduling with manufacturing, packaging, and client requirements.
• Oversee relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation vendors, monitoring performance against SLAs and supporting carrier onboarding and improvements.
• Manage freight rate administration and initiatives aimed at controlling transportation expenses.
• Ensure full compliance with GDP and applicable international logistics regulations, including transport and trade of hazardous and radioactive substances.
• Maintain up-to-date shipping records conforming to regulatory and internal standards.
• Promote training related to hazardous and radiopharmaceutical material logistics.
• Track and report key logistics metrics such as on-time delivery, shipment success, costs, and carrier performance; investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase logistics efficiency and reliability and support deployment of transportation management systems and related tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks, including regulatory changes or geopolitical challenges, and implement contingency planning.
• Facilitate seamless coordination between manufacturing, supply planning, customer service, commercial operations, and quality teams.
• Support new product launches, market entries, and distribution route expansions from a logistics perspective.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required; alternatively, significant relevant experience of 6+ years in time-critical logistics is acceptable.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain roles, including 3+ years in leadership positions preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or radiopharmaceutical industries is highly advantageous.
• Strong grasp of international trade regulations and standards, including FDA, IATA, ISTA, and others.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in logistics software and technological tools.
• Successful track record managing global logistics operations.
