Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead the HR functions for our HVAC organization. The successful candidate will bring comprehensive expertise in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning tailored for technical, field-based, or industrial sectors. This role will encompass supporting office and operational personnel to foster a productive, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enforce HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Handle full-cycle recruitment for various roles including HVAC technicians, engineers, sales personnel, supervisors, and administrative staff.
- Supervise onboarding processes, orientation, and probation evaluations for newly hired employees.
- Manage employee relations including grievance resolution, disciplinary measures, and conflict mediation.
- Oversee attendance records, leave management, overtime tracking, and coordinate workforce scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies.
- Facilitate performance management cycles, appraisals, and design development plans for employees.
- Identify training requirements for technical expertise, safety protocols, and soft skills enhancement.
- Maintain precise HR documentation, employee files, and HR information systems.
- Collaborate with department leaders to address staffing and organizational demands.
- Assist with compensation and benefits management and communicate related policies effectively.
- Encourage a positive workplace atmosphere and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least five years of HR experience, preferably within HVAC, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of HR functions, labor legislation, and employee relations.
- Proven experience working with blue-collar, technical, and office staff.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to thrive in dynamic, multi-location, or field-service settings.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in recruiting skilled technical professionals.
- Familiar with performance management frameworks and HR software applications.
- Knowledgeable about safety compliance and workforce operational guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Holding professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is advantageous.
