About the Role
We are expanding our Linux Kernel Engineering team and seek a seasoned developer with over three years of professional experience in Linux kernel and low-level system software development. This mid-senior level position involves designing, enhancing, and contributing to critical technologies powering enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of new kernel features, improvements, and device drivers.
- Evaluate and enhance system performance focusing on memory management, scheduling, and I/O subsystems.
- Investigate and resolve complex kernel problems through collaboration with global and open-source teams.
- Submit contributions to public open-source projects such as the Linux kernel community.
- Utilize Git, Python, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to automate testing and maintain system stability.
- Work directly with clients to analyze and resolve intricate technical challenges.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Proven experience in kernel or low-level software development in C, C++, or Rust.
- In-depth knowledge of operating system internals including memory management, process scheduling, interrupts, and device drivers.
- Proficiency in source control with Git, scripting with Bash, and automation tooling with Jenkins.
- Active participation and code contributions to open-source communities, particularly Linux kernel projects.
- Hands-on understanding of modern I/O technologies such as PCI, NVMe, and RDMA.
- Strong skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting kernel issues using appropriate debugging tools.
Preferred Additional Expertise
- Past contributions to open source projects.
- Experience with current I/O technologies including PCI, NVMe, RDMA.
- Familiarity with IBM Z architecture, including principles of operations, Z assembler, and I/O concepts.
