Role Overview
CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker who demonstrates dedication to public service and professionalism in a secure institutional environment. This position is integral to preserving the safety and functionality of the facility through the upkeep of building structures and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on the facility's physical structures consistent with secure operational standards.
- Inspect, diagnose, and fix issues with machinery and equipment.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, apparatus, and electronic components related to machinery and equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the maintenance plan.
- Supervise and track inmates or residents assigned to support the Maintenance Department.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work.
- Equivalent technical or trade school coursework in maintenance or construction may replace experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Preferred knowledge includes building construction methods and operational building systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
Compensation & Employment Conditions
