Role Overview

We are looking to hire a hands-on Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager who will oversee both the technical and business aspects of projects involving internal teams and external partners. This role centralizes client communications concerning technical requirements, budget management, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor junior engineering staff while providing technical leadership across various projects.
• Maintain and develop accurate project plans and proposals.
• Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and design innovative product solutions.
• Work closely with Industrial Design, User Experience, and Electrical Engineering teams to refine product designs.
• Conduct mechanical engineering analyses and create detailed documentation to meet project goals.
• Liaise with vendors for prototyping, tooling, and production processes.
• Perform testing and evaluation of prototypes, tooling, and initial production samples.
• Prepare project and technical reports as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in engineering design and product development.
• Proven success in designing products for sectors such as robotics, life sciences, consumer products, networking, and automated hardware systems.
• Practical experience working with injection molded, sheet metal, and machined components.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks; experience with Creo is advantageous.
• Capability in preparing engineering documentation for manufacturing release.
• Hands-on applied knowledge in at least three of the following areas: tolerance analysis, finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluidics design, heat transfer, shock and vibration analysis.
• Experience managing complex electromechanical product development from concept through production.
• Strong skills in client communication and relationship management.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary between $130,000 and $175,000. Additional benefits include paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) plan, healthcare spending accounts, and participation in quarterly and annual company events.
