About the Role

Dragonfly Energy Corporation is looking for a strategically driven operations or business expert with between three to five years of relevant professional background to join their Operations and Strategy team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this rotational role spans 18-24 months and offers exposure to core company functions including operations, supply chain, research and development coordination, and strategic planning. This position is designed for individuals eager to broaden their impact beyond functional silos and acquire comprehensive business insight necessary for senior leadership positions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop sophisticated financial and operational models to guide executive decision-making and prioritize capital investments.
Examine data across departments to diagnose systemic challenges and uncover strategic opportunities, then lead the implementation of improvement measures.
Manage strategic analytics projects involving data integration from manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, and finance.
Create impactful analyses and presentations tailored for executive leadership and board members, focusing on critical metrics, market positioning, and strategic trade-offs.
Assist in long-term strategic planning, scenario analysis, and preparation of business cases for significant projects.
Lead analyses involving costs, operational efficiency, throughput, capacity, and capital utilization.
Formulate sourcing strategies, conduct supplier risk assessments, and develop supply chain resilience and integration models.
Oversee innovation pipeline prioritization, align R&D objectives with commercial targets, and monitor technology development milestones.
Drive strategic initiatives such as business partnerships, market expansion efforts, and new business models while supporting capital raising strategies.
Analyze regulatory and policy environments, contribute to government relations strategies, and pinpoint partnership opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Three to five years of professional experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, business strategy, or related fields.
Proven ability to lead strategic projects and drive completion of cross-functional initiatives.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills including financial modeling, data interpretation, and statistical reasoning.
Capability to distill complex operational or strategic challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.
A demonstrated track record of driving business impact beyond a single functional area.
Excellent communication skills with comfort in presenting to and influencing senior executives.
Independent, strategic thinker with a broad perspective on business outcomes.
Willingness and ability to travel between 30% and 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing, energy, advanced technology, or other capital-intensive industries.
Background primarily in operations, supply chain, business development, or strategic roles rather than finance or HR.
Experience contributing to or managing growth and scaling efforts in a company.
Technical education such as engineering, materials science, or physics, or equivalent business training like an MBA.
Exposure to innovation management, coordinating R&D, or commercializing technology.
Knowledge of capital markets, fundraising, and investor relations.
Familiarity with data analytics software such as Python, SQL, Tableau, and advanced Excel modeling.
