Eminent Biosciences (EMBS) is a bio-pharmaco informatics outsourcing research organization guided by specialists in biosciences, information technology, and pharmaceutical domains. With operations in Hyderabad and Indore, India, the company develops in silico laboratory solutions that support bioinformatics and computational biology through inventive approaches and algorithms.

EMBS builds advanced software and database products for life sciences and pharmaceutical research. Its work includes user-focused interfaces, easy-to-use analysis tools for sequence studies, 3D structure viewing, and both automated and manually maintained databases. Several of these tools are offered as fully functional trial versions for the wider research community.

Role Overview

The Owner position is a full-time, on-site leadership role in Indore. This individual will shape business direction, set organizational objectives, and oversee operations across bioinformatics, software development, and pharma-related services. The role calls for close coordination with stakeholders, prioritization of research and product initiatives, and ensuring that outputs remain aligned with market requirements and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

The Owner will lead cross-functional teams, establish performance standards, approve project plans and budgets, and track the quality and business value of software and database offerings. The role also includes driving business growth, representing EMBS in industry settings, and building partnerships with research institutions, clients, and other collaborators.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring a strong foundation in biosciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or another life sciences discipline. Prior experience in leading or owning a technology-led or research-oriented organization is preferred, especially within pharma, biotech, or health IT.

Success in this role requires proven ability in strategic planning, business development, and organizational leadership, along with familiarity with software and database development workflows, including interface design and usability. A working understanding of in silico techniques, sequence analysis, structural biology, and data curation is important. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities are essential, as is the ability to coordinate teams across multiple locations. A master’s or doctoral degree in biosciences, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, computer science, or a related area is an advantage, and experience with global research partners, clients, or outsourcing projects will be beneficial.
