Work Location and Hours
This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.
Department Overview
At TD Canada Trust, team members act as the frontline representatives of TD Bank, cultivating meaningful relationships with customers by handling diverse service transactions and advising on a wide range of banking products and solutions. The branch teams identify customer needs and refer clients to appropriate specialists to ensure a positive and comprehensive banking experience.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Personal Banking Associate Trainee who will build and maintain strong customer connections, assist with financial consultations, and direct customers to suitable staff for their banking inquiries, including new accounts and investment guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers daily by providing advice, processing service transactions, educating on digital banking tools, and resolving issues linked to banking solutions.
- Assess customer needs and navigate them to the correct internal resource while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
- Promote confidence in the latest digital banking trends through customer education on mobile, ATM, and online platforms.
- Support frontline staff with routine cash and non-cash transactions, handle urgent matters, and escalate unusual issues to management.
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance branch efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to accurate and timely execution of business processes, ensuring documentation complies with regulations and TD’s code of ethics.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace by supporting team performance, sharing industry knowledge, and engaging in personal development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of a high school diploma and/or at least one year of relevant experience.
- Obtain the Investment Funds Canada (IFC) certification or a comparable qualification within 90 days of starting the role.
- Post-secondary or undergraduate education in a related discipline is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, branch management software, and internet applications.
- Knowledgeable about banking products and processes to provide sound advice to customers.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills suitable for a dynamic environment.
- Energetic and proactive with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly to change.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage customers and internal teams courteously and professionally.
Trainee Mobility Clause
Candidates must be willing to relocate within the assigned district after training to a position that fits their preparation. This geographic flexibility within the region is a condition of employment, dependent on progress and availability of suitable positions.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $45,700 to $61,000 CAD, dependent on experience, skills, and location.
