Preconstruction Project Manager

About the Role

Elusav Recruitment is offering a promising opportunity to become a Preconstruction Project Manager for a leading Engineering Contractor based in their new headquarters in North Dublin. This role involves full responsibility for managing bid proposals and acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project documentation and develop an execution plan for bids.
• Oversee estimating, preconstruction, and business unit teams dedicated to the bid.
• Conduct presentations for internal project reviews and client meetings.
• Collaborate with designers to advance detailed design proposals.
• Coordinate with delivery teams to assemble project teams.
• Evaluate tender documents and prepare thorough responses.
• Ensure project information is shared properly among teams per internal guidelines.
• Critically assess project plans and propose alternative delivery solutions.
• Review construction methods to anticipate scheduling impacts and temporary works needs.
• Develop project work schedules alongside team members.
• Plan project logistics and draft a logistics strategy.
• Engage with supply chain partners tailored to specific projects.
• Clarify subcontractor scope through project responsibility matrices.
• Assess subcontract proposals and perform technical and commercial evaluations to select preferred bidders.
• Partner with bid managers and estimators to review project control sheets and estimates.
• Plan for lifting requirements and create a crane strategy.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage additional project-specific items and deliverables.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Demonstrated experience in Preconstruction Project Management.
• Strong background in overall Project Management.
