Role Overview

The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing equipment, personnel, inventory, and processes on the production floor to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining quality and adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing water treatment and chemical manufacturing projects.
• Create and implement monthly and weekly production schedules and allocate tasks to staff.
• Participate in project initiation meetings and coordinate material requirements, including raising requisitions and managing bills of materials.
• Oversee production inventory control and reduce waste wherever possible.
• Liaise with internal teams to guarantee availability of necessary materials.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Perform factory tests, identify defects, and verify compliance with engineering specifications and drawings.
• Compile production reports and update management accordingly.
• Support process and facility improvements under the guidance of the Production Manager.
• Provide technical advice on production aspects during design stages, including reviewing P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Train and develop production and service technicians.
• Support site installation and commissioning activities as required.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards to minimize rework and errors.
• Promote a safe and clean working environment by educating staff about proper equipment usage and company HSE policies.
• Enhance staff productivity and optimize resource utilization.
• Keep ERP system entries up to date.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Complete all necessary documentation and comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or management team.
• Work primarily on the production floor and conduct site visits, which could involve working in hot conditions or marine environments.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated high level of personal integrity and professionalism.
• Strong self-motivation and positive work ethic.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma from a recognized university.
• At least 4 to 5 years of experience managing production planning and control in custom manufacturing and assembly of water treatment systems.
• Experience in the fabrication industry is essential.
• Proven skills in supervision, coaching, production planning, and control.
• Familiarity with spools, skids, tanks, and vessels.
• Basic understanding of assembly and construction of water treatment systems.
• Advanced proficiency in PPC modules, SAP, ERP systems, and Excel.
• Valid UAE driving license.
