Primary Objective
The Group Technology Project Manager plays a pivotal leadership role overseeing key technology projects, including infrastructure, systems, applications, IT deployments, product rollouts, lifecycle initiatives, and telecom/fiber network expansions.
This position involves managing the full project lifecycle, aligning efforts with company objectives, coordinating diverse teams, and overcoming complex challenges to ensure effective project execution. The role demands leadership in fostering collaboration, innovation, and strong stakeholder and partner relationships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and implement critical technology and telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and budget.
- Ensure alignment of projects with organizational strategies to promote innovation and operational improvements.
- Manage comprehensive project phases including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Control scope, budget, timelines, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations throughout projects.
- Achieve successful results for technology/IT deployments, lifecycle management, product launches, and network expansions.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders from Digital, Commercial, Customer Care, Finance, HR departments and external partners.
- Serve as the Technology representative in high-level discussions ensuring clarity and priority alignment.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrix-managed setting to reach project objectives.
- Promote team engagement, accountability, and cooperation across geographically dispersed members.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and issues, implementing mitigation plans to secure project success.
- Proactively monitor project progress and manage changes to maintain schedule and quality.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to cultivate a high-performance, innovative, and accountable culture.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in technical fields such as Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 3 years managing technology-related projects, particularly in telecom, IT deployments, and network expansions.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency with project management software like Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Smartsheet.
- Solid knowledge of project methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
