Role summary
This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager / Estimator position in the Greater Fayetteville, Arkansas area. It combines estimating and project execution: you are expected to pursue the work, price the work, and then manage the work through completion.
The role involves building detailed estimates and takeoffs for concrete projects using drawings, specifications, and bid documents. You will calculate material quantities, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, then support the job from award through closeout. That includes purchasing materials, coordinating vendors, managing schedules, working with clients, suppliers, and internal crews, and keeping costs and progress on track. Day to day, you will oversee field activity, check quality and safety compliance, perform inspections against project requirements, maintain accurate records, and manage proposals and change orders. The person who wins the bid is also responsible for running the job.
Key qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in self-perform concrete construction with a mix of estimating and project management duties, across industrial, commercial, structural, or light residential work
- Strong takeoff ability, including the capacity to review drawings, sections, specifications, and contracts and produce complete, accurate bid takeoffs quickly
- Experience with procurement and expediting of materials, purchase order control, quantity checks, delivery coordination, and reconciliation
- Capability in vendor and logistics coordination, including comparing supplier quotes, arranging deliveries and subcontractor schedules, and allocating resources across several projects
- Project management ability to plan, execute, and close jobs while controlling timelines, resources, and budgets
- Inspection experience to confirm quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications on-site
- Clear communication and collaboration with clients, vendors, and field teams in written, documented, and traceable form
- Comfort using estimating and project management software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools, along with standard office applications
- Strong commitment to safety, workmanship quality, and ethical business conduct
- Education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish ability is an advantage
Compensation
The package includes a base salary plus an uncapped merit-based program tied to profitability, estimating accuracy, closing ratio, safety, quality, and controls.
