About Koforidua Technical University

Koforidua Technical University (KTU) was established by an Act of Parliament, Act 922 in 2016, amended by Act 974 in 2018. The university aims to deliver high-quality science and technology education, excel in applied research, and serve as a hub for community problem-solving. Role Overview

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor. This position oversees daily administrative functions within the university and acts as the secretary to the Governing Council, all boards, and statutory committees. The Registrar provides strategic guidance and leadership across various administrative departments.

Terms of Appointment

The Registrar's term length is four years with eligibility for one additional term, provided the renewed term does not overlap with the compulsory retirement age. Compensation and employment conditions are highly competitive.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree, ideally in Administration or Management disciplines.
• Minimum of six years serving as Deputy Registrar in a university or an equivalent senior administrative role in a similar institution.
• Strong managerial acumen, excellent communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Thorough understanding of Ghana's higher education environment.
• Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity.
• Extensive experience interacting with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of Information and Communication Technology.
