Role Overview
Weber & Company is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Lean for a leading global firm specializing in consumer health technology and biosensing products. This role involves steering the enterprise-wide continuous improvement (CI) initiatives that advance operational excellence throughout global Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain departments, with a special focus on healthcare innovation that transforms chronic disease management worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global Kaizen and continuous improvement strategy across manufacturing and quality operations.
- Establish and sustain Daily Management Systems (DMS), leader standard work routines, and systematic A3 and root cause problem-solving processes.
- Lead impactful Kaizen events directly on production floors to enhance quality metrics, delivery timeliness, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure all CI activities comply with rigorous medical regulatory standards including FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) and ISO 13485, maintaining constant audit readiness.
- Build and nurture a worldwide community of Lean and CI experts and change agents.
Candidate Profile
- Over 15 years of professional experience in relevant industries, including a minimum of 9 years in leadership or management roles.
- Proven success in directing large-scale Kaizen transformations within highly regulated sectors such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, or Biotechnology.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Lean methodologies like Toyota Production System (TPS), A3 problem solving, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5 Whys, supported by Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification preferred.
- Strong executive influencing skills and the capacity to drive cultural change at an organizational level.
- A Bachelor's degree is required along with fluency in English; candidates should reside within 75 miles of a company corporate location.
