About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to architect, develop, and uphold scalable server-side software solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and enhance robust backend applications.
• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best engineering practices.
• Refactor and streamline legacy codebases to boost performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Eliminate outdated or redundant code to simplify systems and decrease technical debt.
• Develop and manage build automation workflows.
• Implement and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to improve deployment efficiency.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects promptly.
• Develop asynchronous and concurrent applications to enhance performance.
• Analyze application performance problems and apply tuning for optimization.
• Modernize legacy systems as required for operational continuity.
• Create thorough unit tests to guarantee high software quality.
• Integrate applications seamlessly with existing custom backend services and APIs.
• Design scalable, reliable solutions to address open-ended and evolving technical issues.

Candidate Profile and Required Skills

• Extensive experience in backend/server-side software development.
• Strong programming abilities and expertise in software design.
• Proven capability in code refactoring and reducing technical debt.
• Familiarity with build tools and automation processes.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration implementations.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming models.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing application performance.
• Comfortable maintaining and upgrading legacy software.
• Proficient in writing comprehensive unit tests.
